What a great weekend in Dallas. First of all FC Dallas Youth did a heck of a job putting together this event. Putting together a first time event will definetly present many challenges. FC Dallas passed with flying colors.
Coming into the game TTU looked like a M.A.S.H unit. At our last practice, prior to leaving for Dallas, we only had 9 healthy field players. We were very worried that we would not be able to complete a full 90 minute game.
But on a picture perfect day on a picture perfect field, TTU rose to the occasion. When it was all said and done TTU won over TCU 4-3. The crowd was awesome and the facility was world class.
TTU Soccer is now 3-0 on the spring season. This weekend we head down to UTEP to play UTEP and ASU.

TTU 2 WTAMU 1
The team just finished playing their Division 2 neighbor to the north, West Texas A&M. Tech won the away game 2-1. Chessa Purser scored both goals. The team was always in control of the game though West Texas fought and scrapped for every minute. West Texas continues to prove they are a worthy opponent for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Just two weeks ago WTAMU upset Texas State 3 - 0 down in Austin. For Texas Tech the game marked the end of the first half of the spring season. Tech will return to Lubbock and begin a week long fitness camp before players take off for spring break.
Sara Beth Clopton made her spring season debut as she returned from minor knee surgery in January. Sara Beth looked good in her return as she helped lead the Red raider back line to victory.
Texas Tech will resume practice after spring break. The team will prepare for a rematch against TCU in Frisco, TX and then off to UTEP to play Arizona State and UTEP.
